Installation

This section explains how to install FPSmart on your system.

Download and Install

To install FPSmart, follow these steps:

1. **Download the Installer:**
    - Visit the customer portal at [fpsmart.smartairnavigation.com](https://fpsmart.smartairnavigation.com).
    - Log in using your customer credentials.
    - Navigate to the Downloads page and download the installer.

2. **Run the Installer:**
    - Locate the downloaded installer file on your machine.
    - Run the installer and follow the on-screen instructions.
    - The installer will copy all the necessary files and binaries to run FPSmart.

Configuration

After installing FPSmart, you need to configure it to work with your AIMDB server.

1. **Configuration File Location and Setup Instructions:**
    - The configuration is done inside FPSmart post-installation.
    - Open FPSmart and navigate to the settings or configuration section.
    - Configure the following settings:
        - **AIMDB Server URL:** The URL of your AIMDB server.
        - **Port:** The port number used for the AIMDB connection.
        - **Connection Protocol:** The protocol used for the connection (e.g., HTTPS).
        - **Client Certificates:** Upload the client certificates required for secure access to AIMDB.

Troubleshooting Installation Issues

If you encounter any issues during the installation or configuration process, refer to the following common issues and their solutions:

1. **Wrong Display:**
    - Ensure that your system meets the minimum requirements.

2. **Files Not Installed Properly:**
    - Make sure your hard drive has enough space.
    - Provide the root password when prompted by the installer.
    - Ensure that the correct user is selected during the installation process.

3. **Connection Test to the Database Always Fails:**
    - Ensure the server is reachable by using the `ping` command.
    - Verify that `/cadas-aimdb-ui/` is accessible.
    - Check that the user credentials are correct.

4. **If These Fixes Do Not Work:**
    - Contact your system administrator or reach out to FPSmart support for further assistance.
