Aeronautical Data Management
============================
In this chapter we will explore the creation and management of aeronautical data.
This will include the following types of features :
- Airport/Heliport.
- Airspace.
- Navaid.
- Designated points.
- Coomunication and surveilance.
- Vertical structures.
Tutorial data
-------------
In order to familiarize the user with the user interface, the Aeronautical data management parts will be presented in the form of tutorials that the trainee can follow.
the data used in this tutorial are related to the 4th of February international airport of Luanda (FNLU).
The data used in the rest of this chapter are as follow :
- **ARP :**
- Coordinates : S8°51.32' / E13°14.03'
- Altitude : 238.0 feet MSL
- **Runways :**
- **Runway 05/23 :** 3700 x 45 meters
- RWY05 :
- THR Coordinates : S8°52'36.6" / E13°12'49.8"
- THR Altitude : 238.0 feet MSL
- Heading : 050
- RWY23
- THR Coordinates : S8°51'14.4" / E13°14'18.0"
- THR Altitude : 232.0 feet MSL

- 120NM centered on VNA(VOR/DME)
- FL155 > FL195

Airport/Heliport
----------------

to create an Airport Heliport, follow the steps bellow :
#. Go to the **Data Toolbar** and click on the airport manager button |AHP_BTN|,
#. The **AirportHeliport Features manager widget** will apear,
#. Click on **new** to create a new Airport/Heliport.
#. This will bring the Airport/Heliport Editor Widget :
#. Enter the Name of the airport,
#. Enter the ICAO location indicator,
#. Enter the IATA Code,
#. Enter the Field Elevation,
#. Enter the coordinates of the ARP,
#. Enter the Elevateion of the ARP.
#. click on **OK**.

Runway
------
to create a RWY, follow the steps bellow :
#. Go to the **Data Toolbar** and click on the airport manager button |AHP_BTN|,
#. The **AirportHeliport Features manager widget** will apear,
#. Select an airport from the list,
#. Click on **edit**,
#. This will bring the Airport/Heliport Editor Widget :
#. Right click on the **Runways List**,
#. choose **Create RWY**,
#. this will Bring up the RWY Wditor widget,
#. Right Click on the Runway Direction List,
#. Select the **Create new Runwat Direction** option,
#. enter the Runway Direction Data,
#. click on **OK**,
#. redo the same for the opposite RWY end,
#. Click on **Auto Compute Parameters** : this will update the paraneters of the RWY based on the THRs positions.
#. click on **OK** to save the RWY parameters.

Navaid
------

to create a Navaid, follow the steps bellow :
#. Go to the **Data Toolbar** and click on the Navaids manager button |NAV_BTN|,
#. The **Navaids Features manager widget** will apear,
#. Click on **new** to create a new Navaid.
#. Select **VOR/DME** from the list and click on **OK**,
#. This will bring the Navaid Editor Widget :
#. Enter the parameters of the Navaid,
#. Right-click on the **Navaids Euipement List**, and choose the **Add Navaid Equipement**,
#. add the Navaid Equipements,
#. click on **OK** to save the Navaid parameters.

Airspace
--------

to create a Navaid, follow the steps bellow :
#. Go to the **Data Toolbar** and click on the Airspace manager button |ASP_BTN|,
#. The **Airspace Features manager widget** will apear,
#. Click on **new**,
#. This will bring the Airspace Editor Widget :
#. enter the airspace parameters,
#. Right click on the **Airspace Volume List**,
#. choose **Create nes volume**,
#. double-click on the new Volume created in the List,
#. this will Bring up the Airspace Volume Wditor widget,
#. click on **get Shape** and choose the corresponding shape from the 3D view,
#. click on **OK**,
#. click on **OK** to save the Airspace parameters.
